St. Augustine Young Professionals Meeting & Fellowship

Abouna Angelos will be speaking to us after the Vespers for St. Mark about “How Are We Being Saved?”  Join us for the meeting and of course, snacks in the blue house after the meeting.

Abouna Antonious will be comparing Orthodoxy with Catholicism at the meeting this week.

As alway, we meet at 7:30 pm in the church, followed up with food in the blue house afterwards!  Look forward to seeing you all there!

Abouna John Paul continued the discussion of The Lord’s Prayer with an in depth look at the words “Who art in heaven”.

Abouna Moussa began a discussion of The Lord’s Prayer.  He discussed the words “Our Father” in detail and the significance of being able to call God “Our Father”.

We enjoyed a night of fellowship, food and fun!  We played various games from Taboo to “mandeel” all night.

Abouna Youhanna discussed the Authenticity of the Bible.

On July 20th-21st, we enjoyed a retreat at St. Mary’s Vineyard.  The theme of the retreat was Spiritual Warfares.  Friday night, Abouna Angelos discussed the ways of spiritual warfare based on an in depth Bible study.  Saturday, Abouna Moussa discussed spiritual warfares based on HH Pope Shenouda’s book Spiritual Warfares.  On Saturday evening, Avram Wahba lead a discussion of 2 chapters from C.S. Lewis’ book Screwtape Letters.

Ted Mina spoke to us about Doctrine.

Fr. Patrick Tishel discussed what it means to be a Friend of Christ.
